Suzanne Ashman joins Sovereign AI

Suzanne will lead Sovereign AI’s £500 million fund, identifying high-potential founders to support them on their journey to create the next generation of world-defining AI companies.

Suzanne is one of the most respected venture investors in the UK. As a former General Partner at LocalGlobe and Latitude, she has spent a decade backing the founders who have come to define a generation of British technology from Tessian to Open Cosmos. Suzanne also co-authored the UK Tech Competitiveness Study which recommended measures to close the digital skills gap, harness the power of data and AI for the public good, and strengthen regional tech ecosystems to better support UK tech startups and scale-ups.

Suzanne’s arrival marks a significant moment for the team. Suzanne will work alongside Joséphine Kant and the wider Ventures team to expand Sovereign AI's footprint across the UK AI ecosystem, drawing on the unique blend of capital, compute, and state capacity that only Sovereign AI can bring.
